Research Interests:

As a dermatopathologist, my first and most important task is to provide accurate and timely pathology diagnosis on skin biopsies to assist dermatologists and other clinicians to achieve high quality patient care for cutaneous diseases.  I have been an academician during my entire career and enjoy providing a high standard educational experience for medical students, pathology and dermatology residents, and dermatopathology fellows. With a MS in pathophysiology and PhD in molecular biology, I am interested in the pathogenesis of skin malignancies such as melanoma, non-melanocytic tumors, and lymphoma. I strive to advance medical knowledge through basic and clinical research, and the translation of advances from the laboratory to clinical practice.
