Biography
Michael Godkin, PhD is a Professor in Family Medicine and Community Health and has various educational leadership positions. He is the Director of a required Population Health Clerksgip for 1st year medical and 2nd year nurse practitioner students; he is Co-Director of a required one day interclerkship on multiculturalism for 3rd year medical students; and is the director of international medical education for our school. He has received several educational awards including the Educational Achievement Star Award, and Outstanding Primary Care Educator. He has published numerous journal articles and presented at many regional and national meetings related to community health, cultural competence, physician advocacy and international education.
