Rotation Projects

Analysis of longitudinal health data

This rotation provides students with opportunities to learn basic concepts and skills in statistical analysis of observational cohorts, clinical registries, electronic health records (EHRs), hospital administrative data (also called case mix data including ED visits and hospital discharges), and all payer claims databases (APCD). Students are expected to conduct literature review, participate weekly lab meetings, and work on a small analytic project on a topic of own choice. At the end of rotation, students are expected to complete a brief manuscript/report and a poster presenation.

Rotation Projects

Design and analysis of randomized clinical trials (RCTs)

In this rotation, students will learn the basic concept of randomized clinical trials, including general design, conduct and evaluation of RCTs. Federally-funded RCTs conducted in this lab will be used for teaching.
