The University of Massachusetts Center for Clinical and Translational Science (UMCCTS) is based at the UMass Medical School in Worcester and is part of the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium. The goals of our center are to 1) accelerate clinical and translational research in order to improve the health of patients and communities, and 2) educate the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.
I coordinate overall activities and assist in the implementation of sponsored programs associated with the UMCCTS. In this role I serve as the UMCCTS Research Navigator, acting as a liaison to extramural resources (industry, NIH, other CTSAs), linking investigators to one another and to research resources, aiding in the development of projects, and maintaining a working knowledge of all UMCCTS services, operations, and personnel. In addition I direct all UMCCTS pilot funding programs and our local I-Corps program.
Please contact me at nathaniel.hafer@umassmed.edu if there's anything I can do to facilitate your research.
