Dr. Bo Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at UMass Medical School. He is a biostatistician and behavioral epidemiologist with 15 years of experience in HIV prevention and implementation science research and over 70 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Social Science & Medicine, Implementation Science, Prevention Science, and AIDS and Behavior. He currently serves as a principal investigator, co-investigator, and biostatistician on multiple NIH grants, and has significant expertise in designing intervention studies using state-of-the-art research designs (MOST/SMART) and advanced statistical methods (e.g., structural equation modeling, group-based trajectory analysis, latent transition models, and linear mixed models) in biomedical research. At Wayne State University School of Medicine, he taught graduate biostatistics. In current NIH-sponsored research (R01 HD095765, 2018-23), he is developing theory-driven implementation strategies to increase the sustainability of teacher implementation, thereby increasing the general public health impact of evidence-based interventions in schools. He is co-leading a suicide risk prediction project (R01 MH118220, 2019-23).
