Mike Fahey, M.D. is a general pediatric cardiologist at UMassMemorial Medical Center. His clinical interests include the diagnosis and medical management of acquired and congenital heart disease in children, including prenatal diagnosis with the use of fetal echocardiography. He accepted a position as Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at UMass in 2013. His other primary interest is in education. He has received multiple teaching awards from the pediatric residents at UMassMemorial Medical Center, as well as UMass Chan medical students.  These awards include multiple Outstanding Clinical Educator, Outstanding Medical Educator awards, an Educational Achievement Star Award for the development of innovative curricula, and the Lamar Soutter Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Medical Education.  Dr. Fahey co-directs two courses at UMass Chan:  the Cardiovascular Block and Clinical Applications, an innovative, integrated longitudinal course given over the first two years of the Vista curriculum.  Dr. Fahey is also the Pediatric Residency Program Director at UMass Chan Medical School.
