In 2010, Dr. Baccei joined the Radiology Department at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA as an assistant professor, musculoskeletal imaging and intervention. Clinically, he interprets a wide range of imaging modalities for the diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue related pathology. His teaching responsibilities and mentoring include medical students, radiology residents, and fellows. Dr. Baccei was appointed Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention in 2017.

Dr. Baccei is also involved with a variety of administrative and quality related activities both within the radiology department and throughout the medical system. He was appointed Vice-Chair of Radiology Quality, Patient Safety, and Process Improvement in 2015 and also serves as Co-Chair of the Group Practice Quality Committee. Also in 2015, Dr. Baccei was elected to a 4 year term as President (-elect) by the UMass Memorial Medical Staff. Research interests for Dr. Baccei include systems based practice, quality improvement work, and musculoskeletal imaging optimization.
