Over three decades, three drug-discovery platforms based on RNA Therapeutics have been introduced in my laboratory. These include Antisense technology, Toll-Like Receptor Agonism, and Toll-Like Receptor Antagonism. Drug candidates from these technologies have been created and have advanced to clinical proof of concept trials in patients. Several drugs have been approved based on ASO chemistries and mechanisms developed in our labs. At a recent conference of the Oligonucleotide Therapeutic Society meeting, I reviewed the work in an award lecture.
