Dr. Gaba is an Assistant Professor and Treatment Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan). She serves as the Director of the Behavioral Health Equity Advancement Lab (B-HEAL) and the Equity Division at the Massachusetts Center of Excellence in Specialty Court. Dr. Gaba's research aims to reduce health disparities, advance health equity, and address social determinants of health, with a particular focus on improving behavioral health services for historically marginalized populations, including African American/Black and Latino/a/x individuals and families, individuals involved in the criminal legal system, and women. She brings an implementation science, systems, and social justice lens to her work.
