Overview
Assistant Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Nonhuman Primate Reagent Resource (NHPRR) at UMass Medical School. Leads biomedical research infrastructure, bioprocess operations, and reagent-access systems that strengthen rigorous, reproducible, and translational NHP research supporting advances in human health. NHPRR is a national research resource supported by NIAID and ORIP since 1999.
The Nonhuman Primate Reagent Resource (NHPRR) develops and provides specialized biologic tools that enable sophisticated models of complex human diseases. By supporting scientists working with highly translational preclinical systems, the Resource helps strengthen the path from scientific discovery toward clinical application and better human health.
As Co-Director, I focus on leading and integrating the systems that allow complex biomedical research resources to operate reliably, support growth, and remain responsive to scientific needs. I coordinate operations, bioprocess activities, data and traceability, resource planning, external providers, performance monitoring, risk management, and continuity across the Resource.
My leadership approach centers on translating the Resource’s scientific and program priorities into coordinated execution, measurable performance, and sustainable shared infrastructure. By aligning people, processes, data, and resources, I help strengthen reproducibility, expand access to specialized research tools, and support translational research across institutions.
