    Biography

    Dr. Yunsheng Ma is an Associate Professor and an epidemiologist/biostatistician with a documented record of research in the areas of nutrition, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. He has contributed to over 140 original publications in the biomedical literatures and two medical textbook chapters. He continues to serve as Principal Investigator or co-investigator of NIH-sponsored projects investigating nutritional and biochemical predictors of chronic diseases in human populations. He also has provided academic service through a number of venues, including serving on NIH study section and as co-leader of UMMS Capstone Scholarship & Discovery Course, and co-director of UMass Center for Digital Health. In addition, he has extensive statistical expertise and experience in the design and evaluation of randomized control trials and large longitudinal observational studies with extensive data collection and analysis.
