Academic Background

Postdoctoral Training
UMass Memorial Medical Center, Residency in Anesthesiology, 2003-2007

I recently completed my residency here at UMass and I couldn't be happier with my decision to take a position at the Hahnemann campus for ambulatory surgery. After working as a locums for a period while interviewing for permanent positions, it became very clear that an institution is only as good as its staff. I am very proud to be a part of the anesthesia staff here at UMass.
Hahnemann is a very busy ambulatory center with a patient population ranging from pediatric (as young as three months) to geriatric. We perform an abundance of regional blocks, mostly under ultrasound guidance, which I find very rewarding and fun. I really enjoy all aspects of ambulatory anesthesia and working with residents is an invaluable learning experience.
My clinical interests include pediatric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and management of the difficult airway.
Nothing is more satisfying to me than seeing a frightened patient (child or adult) have a comfortable and positive experience as a direct result of my care.
