    Synthesize and characterize nanomaterials exhibiting novel properties to detect chemical and biological threat agents. Substrate-supported films composed of soft, electronic-organic materials (graphene, carbon nanotubes, and conducting polymers) to detect chemical warfare agents, plastic explosive residues and environmental toxins. Synthesize functionally modified nanoparticles for controlled and targeted drug delivery.
