Dr. Hargraves specializes in patient and consumer assessments of health care and quality of medical care. He is a recognized expert in developing and using survey methods to assess health care quality from patients' perspectives. His research has contributed to national efforts to document racial and ethnic disparities in health care. His current interests focus on treatment of disparities in health care as an opportunity for improving health care quality.
