Overview
Priscilla Gazarian, PhD CNS RN, is Professor of Nursing and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing.
Priscilla Gazarian has led and collaborated on numerous health services research projects. Her interests are related to the health care system's quality and safety, including the nurse and patient's role in preventable harm. Her harm prevention research focuses on patient engagement in health care and nurse clinical decision-making. Recently, she has focused on advance care planning as a mechanism to prevent harm among seriously ill patients. She is a qualitative and mixed methods expert.
She received her PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master’s degree in critical care nursing as a clinical nurse specialist from UMass Boston.
