Utilizing the anti-inflammatory diet developed by Ms. Olendzki, 132 pregnant CD patients will be recruited and self-select at a 1:1 ratio to IBDAID and habitual diet; 66 age- and race/ethnicity-matched controls will receive habitual diet. Study participants choosing the intervention will be guided to follow IBD-AID for 6-8 weeks. Serial stool samples and cord blood along with detailed demographic, clinical, obstetric and dietary intake information will be collected on the mother at baseline, during and after the trial and then on the mother and the baby for up to 1 year.
