The major goal of this project is to provide proof-of-principle that SHN3 inhibition can augment bone formation at sites of inflammation-induced bone loss in mouse models, determine the mechanism by which SHN3 knock down protects from suppression of osteoblast differentiation by RA-derived cytokines, and test the ability of genetically manipulated mesenchymal stem cells to repair inflammation-induced bone loss.
