    Dr Galván Peña is an Assistant Professor in the Program of Microbiome Dynamics. Dr Galván Peña received a BA in Immunology in 2013 and a PhD in Biochemistry and Immunology in 2018, both from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). She completed a postdoctoral fellowship funded by an EMBO award in the lab of Christophe Benoist and Diane Mathis, at Harvard Medical School. In 2024 she joint the department of Microbiology at UMass Chan Medical School as assistant professor.

    Her lab is focused on investigating the systemic impact of gut host-microbe interactions.
