    Educational Background


    Dr. Wassef received her BS in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 1984, MSN from Southern Connecticut State University in 1989 and her PhD in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Worcester in 2004.


    Biosketch


    Dr. Wassef currently serves as the Director of the Continuing Education Program and teaches in both the DNP and PhD programs. After years in  clinical focusing on cardiac care and completing her dissertation focusing on women and heart disease, she has pursued her scholarly interest in nursing education and strategies to prepare healthcare practitioners providing quality/safe patient care.  Her current studies deal with interprofessional collaboration in the area of situation awareness and the use of the 3-D anatomage table.
